For the Greeks Etna was a mountain considered sacred; it was born from the union of Heaven and Earth, and belonged to a generation that preceded the Titans and the gods of Olympus. According to the poet Claudian, Etna kept, in a secret place, the remains of the giants defeated by the Gods. From the old wineyards of Etna ( 80 – 100 of age) planted sapling born historical reserves Etna DOC Etna.
The Patria winery as a result of long experience in the field of Etna wine, select the best grapes of the varieties of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio.
Etna Rosso DOC Reserv is the real king of the wines of Etna.
The uniqueness of the reserve is given by the aging of 5 years in oak barrels of Slavonia and another 5 years of aging in bottle.
